This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My junior high students are energetic, determined, and always striving to improve—whether they’re solving math problems in the classroom or giving their all on the field after school. They come from a variety of backgrounds, and many face challenges outside of school, but they consistently show up ready to learn and grow.
My Project:
This project supports both our math classroom and after-school programs by providing:
Math posters to reinforce key concepts and build a visual, engaging learning space.
Math manipulatives to support hands-on, interactive learning for students at all levels.
Highlighters and folders to help students organize their math work and build personalized portfolios.
A rolling chair to support small group instruction and flexible teacher movement around the classroom.
Storage bins to help keep materials, student work, and supplies organized and easily accessible.
Sports equipment to support students who participate in after-school athletics, helping them stay active, healthy, and involved.
The Impact:
These materials will enhance both academic and extracurricular experiences. Students will have the tools they need to visualize, explore, and organize their math learning more effectively, while also feeling supported in their athletic pursuits. When students are equipped and encouraged in every area, their confidence and success grow across the board.
