Students will be taking notes in my class by hand, using a Rocketbook. This digital notebook will allow the students to use erasable pens to take their notes, like they would do normally, but then magic happens. The students will use that same pen to indicate on the page where the notes will be sent -- either Google Mail or Google Drive. They will then use an electronic device, their phone or my iPad, to send a screen shot of their notes into the Cloud. Once the notes are sent, the students will erase their notes from the Rocketbook for the next set of students to use.
Once the students retrieve their notes in the cloud, they will then be able to interact with their notes by adding clarification, pictures, or even better organizing it for studying purposes. This new age note taking will eliminate the need for my students to bring their own spiral notebook, which can get lost. Their notes will get organized into folders on their Google Drive where they can have access to them where ever they have an Internet connection. Google Drive can also be used offline so the students can still study their notes even without an Internet connection. These notebooks will be stored and used in my classroom for many years and students to come.
