Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The use of small group materials, hands on materials, and visual materials will help students succeed in the areas of Math and Reading. The COVID-19 pandemic has created some gaps in academics, but these materials can help to close these gaps. Students will be more engaged through hands on learning, using the materials such as white boards and manipulatives. Whiteboards allow me to see the students' work and allow me to quickly correct and assist as needed. The hands on materials, such as fraction bars, number lines, handheld clocks, and base ten blocks will allow students to develop conceptual understanding, closing the gaps.
