Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The requested math manipulatives (number lines, tiles, grids, dice, whiteboards) will significantly impact the learning experiences of my students. These tangible items will serve as crucial tools in bridging the gap between abstract mathematical concepts and practical understanding. For my students, who often face challenges in traditional learning environments, manipulatives provide a multisensory approach that caters to their diverse learning styles. The tactile nature of these items allows for a hands-on exploration of mathematical ideas, fostering a deeper connection and enhancing comprehension.

The goals for this project encompass creating an inclusive and engaging math curriculum tailored to the individual needs of my students.

By integrating manipulatives into lessons, I aim to promote a positive learning experience, build confidence, and facilitate a solid foundation in mathematics. The project seeks to make math more accessible and enjoyable, empowering students to overcome barriers to understanding.

My students are special in their unique learning profiles and abilities. Each individual brings a distinct set of strengths and challenges to the classroom. The project aims to recognize and celebrate this diversity by providing tailored resources that accommodate various learning styles. Through personalized approaches, the goal is to unlock the potential of each student and create a supportive learning environment that fosters growth and success.
