This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are enthusiastic learners. We live in a low-income area where my students come to school to escape the many hardships in their lives. Most of my students don’t have access to supplies or technology and are only able to use them at school. My class needs so many resources to prepare them for their future. My students love to learn and I want them to access all subject areas.
My Project
Help me give my students math manipulatives to make math more enjoyable. I would like my students to get ten frames and arrays, dice, spinners, and counters to use during distance learning. Since we are not at school my students don't have access to all the hands-on learning tools that they would normally get. I want to give them those tools at home.
Math can be fun and engaging with the right tools!
The colorful dice and spinners can allow my class to practice math skills while playing math games. The ten frames and arrays will allow my students to see how to count in an organized way. The right tools can make learning math fun!
