My Students

My students have just started high school and they are trying to figure out where they fit in with academics, friends, and extracurricular activities. My students are awesome! I teach 6 classes of freshmen, totaling to 98 students. These students are amazing, I know most people will say that about their students, but it is the truth!

My school that I work at is one of the most diverse in the United States.

My school is considered Title I and the students are not always equipped with the resources and materials that they need. Many of my students feel as though they are insufficient (when it comes to their studies (especially in math), and I intend to support them in any way that I can. They deserve the world!

My Project

Manipulatives are a great way to build in hands-on learning for math class. The Algebra Tiles are great for teaching algebra and the AngLegs help with geometry. Most math classes you will walk into consist of lecture and then homework, which stifles student creativity.

Math manipulatives will help create a classroom environment of curiosity and creativity!

Many students need kinesthetic learning, which requires activities where they get to touch tangible items, and these manipulatives will be very helpful!

A classroom doorbell is also a great item to have in a classroom. It will be beneficial in grabbing students' attention to move on during transitional periods.
