This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Math manipulatives provide hands-on learning experiences for students! With a classroom full of different personalities and different learning styles, providing different modalities of learning is key!

“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn!” By providing students with hands-on learning experiences, we are creating moments and experiences they won’t forget.

My current classroom has manipulatives, but, many are old, outdated or just simply not enough to involve a whole class. I am looking to replenish and update these materials (algebra tiles, graphing stickers, etc.) in my 6th grade math classes so that each and every student is able to engage in hands-on learning and be able to create those moments they won’t forget!
