Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are enthusiastic and curious about learning! They are a diverse group who need a variety of supports to help them reach their full potential. The students in our school qualify to receive free breakfast and lunch on a daily basis.

My first graders are eager to learn and are full of life!

It is important for me to continue to instill a love for learning despite any obstacles they face living in an inner city. I am looking to foster a love of learning in each child and encourage them to challenge themselves so they can reach their goals.

My Project

This school year will truly be a unique one! I need to find ways to make learning accessible for my in-class and remote learners.

I use math manipulatives on a daily basis in order to give my students the opportunity to have a hands-on experience.

During the 2020-2021 school year, each student will need his/her own set of manipulatives. This will also be a wonderful resource for students if we end up doing distance learning again. In this case, students will be able to bring their manipulative kits home and have access to the same materials we use in the classroom.
