Math Manipulatives for Conceptual Development is a Bilingual Classroom
Help me give my students the technology they need to complete district-mandated fluency tests, and Math resources to enhance the development of mathematical concepts in a more interactive and fun way.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are so enthusiastic and optimistic about their education. They come to school very excited in the morning and ready to learn.
We are a Spanish-immersion school; the students start learning Spanish from the first day of kindergarten.
It’s not an easy program, but they learn a lot of perseverance throughout their six years at our school.
At Zarrow, we are a diverse group of teachers from several Spanish-speaking countries. We incorporate lessons for students to learn about the culture and ideas of other countries to become global citizens. As their teacher, I want to provide the necessary resources so they can grow as learners and people to make our world a better place. As their Math teacher, I also want to share my love for Math while helping them to develop strong Math reasoning skills and critical thinking.
My Project
I am requesting headphones with microphones so that students can complete district-mandated MAP fluency tests. These tests give me the data to differentiate instruction for each student in small group time and one-on-one sessions.
I am also requesting a variety of math manipulatives to help my bilingual students learn mathematical concepts that are crucial in 3rd grade.
I focused my requested materials on area and perimeter, fractions, and geometry because those topics are an essential part of the foundational math that students must master at the elementary level. The manipulatives will also foster group collaboration and critical thinking development.
