This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As we prepare for the upcoming 2025–2026 school year, I’m excited to share that we will be merging two classrooms to welcome over 30 bright and eager learners into our math community.
We can support our students' learning through the use of hands-on math manipulatives through games.
These tools help bring abstract concepts to life, making math more engaging, accessible, and meaningful for all learners.
Manipulatives like hands-on materials and games provide students with the chance to explore, engage, and excel in math through tactile and visual learning. Especially in a larger classroom setting, these tools are essential for differentiation and reaching students at all levels of understanding.
Math concepts can sometimes be challenging for students to grasp. Having access to hands-on games and activities helps make these concepts more accessible and understandable. These tools not only support deeper learning but also help build students’ confidence and boost their interest in tackling subjects that may feel difficult at first.
