My Students

My students are unique and amazing! In the past, I have taught students with disabilities, speakers of other languages, and special needs students. This year, my classroom includes students who are considered gifted. Gifted students have an educational plan and receive enrichment in some subject areas such as science, math, or language arts.

First graders are full of energy and curious about everything.

They are eager to please their teacher and their parents. My students have a wide range of abilities, so they need learning materials with a wide range of ability levels as well. While some students struggle, my gifted children tend to get bored more easily, so it is vital to keep them engaged and motivated!

My Project

My students love fun, engaging hands-on tools to practice their math skills. These tools I have selected such as puzzles, games, a cash register, and self-checking problem cards will allow students to work independently or in small groups, while I assist other students who need extra help. These tools will help students build thei fact fluency, solve real world problems, and become familiar with money and coins.

I have also selected some soft seats in order for students to sit at a floor table.

I really hope this project is funded because I know my students would be so excited to see all this cool stuff!
