My Project

Do you remember being in school and the excitement you felt when it was announced you would be playing a game or activity, rather than a dull worksheet? What if we could replace the need for endless worksheets with authentic projects and activities that enhance student learning?

The fifty third graders that make up my two math classes are amazing boys and girls that love learning.

They have a variety of learning and experience levels. There are students with special needs, developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, economic disadvantages, and some who are working hard to just learn the English language. There are students that find school a struggle and students that are gifted with a desire for challenging work. We use math workstations and centers as we work together to become better mathematicians and problem solvers.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
