This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are excited to launch a new initiative, "Math Made Fun: Engaging Strategies for Parents," aimed at empowering parents with the tools and techniques to support their children's math learning at home. Our goal is to create a vibrant community where families can enjoy math together, fostering both confidence and a love for learning.

Project Goals:

Engage Parents: We aim to reach parents from diverse backgrounds, providing them with fun, hands-on strategies to incorporate math into everyday activities.

Build Community: By hosting interactive workshops, we will create a supportive environment where parents can share experiences, challenges, and solutions related to their children's math education.

Enhance Learning: Equip parents with resources that help their children see math as a fun and essential part of life, encouraging a positive attitude towards learning.

Workshop Highlights:

Interactive Activities: Parents will learn engaging games and activities that make math enjoyable and relevant, turning learning into a family affair.

Confidence-Building Techniques: We will provide strategies to help parents encourage their children and combat common math anxieties.

Resource Materials: Participants will receive take-home materials that include manipulative kits, activity guides, worksheets, and recommendations for apps and games that promote math skills.
