In my classroom I have 26 students who range in age from 5-7 years old. My school is located in a high poverty area where all of my students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many of my students come to school without the necessary materials that they need. My school is an environmental studies magnet school and every day we strive to integrate science into all of our lessons. In my 12 years of teaching I have learned that my students learn best when they are actively engaged. Being able to provide them with as many different ways to learn is my top priority. I strive to make learning fun and make school a fun and safe environment for each and every one of my students.
