My Students

In our classroom I would like to have more flexibility in seating, more student options, more student privacy, choices, and experiences!

In my class alone, we have 2 students that are brand new to the USA from Africa.

Along with these two students, we have many who are learning how to speak, read, and write in English! It is an exciting year in our room and we are working towards becoming model third graders for next year!

My Project

My students are in need of math manipulatives in order to explore and interact more with numbers. Second grade math requires a lot of student exploration with addition and subtraction! Unifix Cubes specifically allow students to 'act out' the problem they are working through. The reusable protectors will enforce what we have been learning in Science about Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. I would like my students to actively participate in reusing every day with this tool!

I would like my students to be able to have the materials they need to be successful.

These tools will allow my kids to focus on grasping the concepts they need to be successful!
