Help me give my students essential classroom supplies that make collaborative math learning possible.

My Project

Every day, more than 100 middle school math students walk into my classroom ready to solve problems, explain their thinking, and learn from one another. Instead of completing most of their work on paper, my students use whiteboard desks, allowing them to show their thinking, make mistakes without fear, and collaborate with their classmates in real time.

To make this possible, every student needs access to Expo markers and erasers every day.

With constant use, markers quickly dry out, the tips become damaged, and supplies often run out. Replacing them regularly ensures that every student can fully participate in lessons without interruption.

Our classroom also relies on collaborative learning. Students frequently move their desks into groups to solve challenging math problems together. The tennis balls in this project will be placed on the bottoms of our desks to protect the classroom floor, reduce the loud scraping noise that can disrupt learning, and make it easier for students to quickly transition into collaborative groups.

These may seem like simple supplies, but they are essential tools that keep our classroom running smoothly. Your support will help create an engaging, hands-on math environment where students can collaborate, take risks, and build confidence every single day.
