Every morning in my classroom, I start off by greeting each student with a hello! I believe as a teacher it is important to recognize each student by name, giving them a sense of worth in my classroom. I want students to feel valued and cared for!
My students come from many diverse backgrounds.
We have a diverse group of scholars who come in at all different levels and abilities. My classroom has twenty-five students in it. The community I work in is a welcoming, warm, and compassionate community.
My Project
Recently in my school, we have been training on Math 4 Love. In this training we have been learning many math games and activities to help our students become independent learners and strong mathematicians. I am asking for dice and pattern blocks to give students the opportunity to explore and investigate different math activities.
Students need materials to give them hands-on opportunities at learning.
I believe it is extremely important for students to have the tools to use during math to help them learn. It is one thing to be able to learn math, but to be able to see how math works is such a helpful skill.
