This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would love an iPad to help support learning for my sixth-grade students. Sixth-grade math can be difficult if the students don't have a grasp on their math facts and students need to see a lot of practice problems to achieve mastery. An iPad with the latest technology will be a tremendous asset for my students. Not only will my students be able to use this iPad, but I will also have the ability to create meaningful lessons using multiple platforms like Xtra Math and IXL.

This iPad will enhance our classroom experience and lead to a greater understanding of multiplication facts.

An iPad will allow my students to actively engage in their learning. Unfortunately this year, many of my students are struggling with the basic facts. With this iPad, I will be able to present mathematical material in PowerPoint presentations that will capture the student's attention and make learning fun! I will also be able to plan daily lessons based on interactive websites. Students will greatly benefit from having an iPad in the classroom in order to become more actively engaged in lessons. Not only will the iPad be used to enhance teaching, but also for the students to use during progress monitoring.
