This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My Kindergarten students love to learn and practice their math skills. These math counters in a variety of styles will help my students learn how to count, sort, add, and subtract in a fun way. Moving the counter pieces to add or subtract helps my students to see what it means to add on or to take away. These counters will be used for so many different types of activities in class. I really like the sorting cups and tongs that will help my students with their fine motor skills. My students really enjoy using the magnetic whiteboard. These magnetic math shapes and counting bears will be great as we build patterns, add and subtract.
