My students are presented with more challenges than many 5 or 6 year olds should ever have. Our school is located in a low-income neighborhood, where 98% of our students receive free or reduced breakfast and lunch. The areas surrounding our school can be challenging at times, but our students come to school eager to learn and explore. They come from very different backgrounds and experiences, but they are all excited to learn new things.
