This week in school I have been able to teach my students how to play the math games before sending them home. They are currently working on recognizing numbers in through a variety of visuals such as tally marks, dots, ten frames, and fingers. The number with the highest wins or we may choose to play with lowest numbers wins. After they have mastered this game, they will learn to choose two cards and add it. Playing in class first gives them a chance to explain it to their families and get excited for taking the game home. I have also made additional games but will be slowly sending those home thought the school year.
