Math Books to Support and Reinforce Classroom Learning!
My students need their own bound paper copies of the on line curriculum of our district. By getting the electric book binder we can make booklets for each unit and students to practice their skills.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This middle school is a wonderfully diverse school with a cross-section of students that come from a community that speaks over 10 different languages and filter into one of the largest public high school in the state of Connecticut. We are a Title I city school with over 71% free and reduced lunch populations. The diversity of our population is what makes this school so special.
There are theories that income has a significant impact on educational performance.
Well then, we are a school where over 70% of the population are from low-income families. We are classified as District Reference Group "H," which is the second lowest socioeconomic level a school can be placed in. Our students, who are also children, come from hard working and very diverse backgrounds and cultures and often do not have the resources that allow them to succeed at higher levels.
My Project
In this day of online technology, districts have gotten away from using textbooks. The resources available for students are vast. Unfortunately, with that trend, the students do not have the opportunity to experience the importance of practicing the mathematical skills they have learned.
The students benefit having their own bound version of the practice problems for reinforcing lessons at school and at home with their parents.
These bound booklets are also created for students to keep organized and connect one lesson with the previous one throughout the unit.
A binding machine will change everything in the classroom. We will be able to make booklets for each unit for all 350-6th grade students. We can make individualized booklets addressing the needs of all students. We can make them in different languages if necessary. The parents can see what the students are doing and the will have a guide to help their children. Research shows, the more parents are involved in the learning at school, the more successful and engaged the students are.
