What a pleasure my students have been over the years. They inspire me so much knowing their personal struggles and seeing how they strive to do their very best inside the classroom. They are amazing. Many come from low income homes, some speak english as a second language, some have special education needs and others might even be homeless. These students still find the strength to smile as they enter the classroom each day. I don't know if I would have been able to persevere as well as they have.
My Project
Next year I will be moving down to second grade and am really in need of age appropriate materials for the kids to work with. I am asking for a butterfly garden and Science and Socials Studies resources for these subjects. I am also asking for many hands on materials for math such as magnetic clocks, number lines, hundreds charts, base ten blocks and center activity books and cards. These materials will allow my kids to get their hands on materials instead of relying on a workbook and textbook for their learning. Kids need to see and touch in order to learn. Thanks so much for looking and considering my math and science project.
