Math and ELA Materials to Make Workstations Hands-On

My Students

I have a classroom of 18 students. My students are very diverse. I work at a Title I school. A very high percentage of children in my school are from low-income families. This percentage is above 80%. My students have different hardships, but they do their best to succeed. While at school, I try to create an engaging, fun, loving, and caring environment where students can learn through hands-on activities and amazing literature.

Students come to school always willing to do their best to succeed, and they love to discover the world around them.

I have wonderful students who are eager to learn and work hard. My students also learn with fun and engaging activities in every subject. I am proud of the determination and drive that my students show, each day​ when they come into school.

My Project

I am asking for items to help make workstations hands-on. My students need visuals to help them understand the concepts taught. With these items, students will be able to visualize fractions when comparing them. The dice will be used with different math games that students will be able to play during workstation or math time. The multiplication games will be used to help with fluency. It is extremely important that 3rd grades are fluent in multiplication before going to 4th grade. These materials will help with that goal.

Without visuals and hands-on activities, it is harder for my students to learn.

The ELA materials I am asking for will help my lower students. Those students need help with being fluent readers. All of the items requested will help me work one-on-one with them to find blends and letter patterns that will help them when reading. Any support would be incredible to help make my students successful when learning.
