With the additional encouragement that is on the composition books, the students know they have a special notebook that they can use to write during our daily journaling time. The organizational bins and folders have brought much-needed structure to our classroom, making it easier for students to access and manage their materials independently. T\r\n\r\nA Special Classroom Moment:\r\nOne of the most memorable moments was when my students first saw the new resources. Their eyes lit up with excitement, and they couldn't wait to start using them. During journaling time, students eagerly grabbed their new journal and started writing about how lucky they were that someone wanted to help give everyone their own special journal. I had volunteers write an encouraging note to all of my students and we put it on the inside cover of their notebooks. I have seen multiple times throughout the year where students have grabbed their notebook just to read the encouraging message.
