Help me give my students 10 magnetic frames to practice counting and math at the preschool level, paint for art expressions, and other materials for organizing our classroom.
I teach scholars who are three to five years of age in a public school setting, in an urban community. I serve students from a wide variety of backgrounds, cultures and socioeconomics. Our school district has a seventy percent plus, free or reduced price breakfast and lunch population.
I primarily teach children with special needs, including multiple disabilities, autism, visual, hearing, sensory and attention deficit disorders.
However, I also teach children with English as a second language and typical developing children.
My Project
I believe that we have a huge responsibility to initiate a love and desire of learning before our students begin kindergarten. Our children love coming to school and I plan on using the material to replenish our supplies. Currently, the classroom is in need of watercolor paint refills and glitter paint. Paint is a must have for little creative hands. We also need 10 frames to practice counting and other math at the preschool level. I have magnetic counters but need frames to help students organize their counters. In addition, I need to organize the classroom for these requested material and other material in the classroom. Therefore, I am requesting velcro and badges for labeling.
