My Students

Transitional Kindergarten is a special place for students whose birthdays fall between September 2 and December 2 at five years old. It is considered a two year kindergarten program with special emphasis on socio-emotional skills, fine and large motor development and refinement as well as academic readiness.

My TK classroom is an exciting place where I can guide my students to become confident and strong in their abilities and step into Kindergarten at their best!

Our school has only one TK class comprised of fifteen boys and six girls from all parts of our city. My students are the youngest at our school but take part in all aspects of school like the big kids do. With 21 students, there are lots of hands, feet, and little bodies that are in motion all the time!

My Project

By playing these math games and using puzzles, my students can learn, refine, and apply number sense and problem solving math skills while having fun! These games and puzzles are also good for building self confidence.

These math games along with the puzzles lend themselves to building cooperation among students while building math concepts.

Working together towards a goal is an important life skill. These math games and puzzles allow for students to practice their knowledge of numbers in a safe, fun setting in our classroom. Giving my students a strong foundation in math will help them to be successful in their school career and adult life!
