At times my classroom is noisy and full of movement. Young students new to school and its routines and procedures are doing great work! Working with peers in small groups or independently, these tiny hands are busy learning, thinking, and growing. Building their self-confidence and pride in their abilities is powerful. The construction toys will provide opportunities for STEM exploration by building and designing their own creations as well as strengthen motor skills. With the Alphabet Sounds and phonemic awareness games, my students will use them in small groups to learn the alphabet and the sounds that each letter makes. All of these materials focus on academic, social, and motor development that are an essential experiences for my students. My Transitional Kindergarten students will have daily opportunities to practice and master these skills required to make them successful students as they begin the first steps of their educational journey. Having puzzles, construction toys, and alphabet learning materials will enhance my students' experiences, strengthen academic, social, and motor skills as well as reinforce a love and excitement for school!
