My Project

We started a new math curriculum this school year and are now switching over to a new math workshop model. In this model, the teacher pulls students to work in small groups, while other students are problem-solving with partners using games or by themselves using technology. They are also completing a Math on My Own station to show that they are mastering concepts independently. With this new model, it is easier to target students who need extra support and provide that support in a smaller setting. It also allows me to challenge students who are already mastering concepts.

The materials that I am asking for donations for are to help our math workshop run more smoothly next school year.

We love this math workshop model but need some organizational tools to help us stay organized for a more efficient math workshop.

The storage cart would help us keep our materials for the entire unit organized and help us stay prepared for the next lesson. The zipper pouches would hold our math games, so students can pull the exact bag they would need to use with their partner. We are going through a lot of expo markers, so having a bit of extra stock on hand would help students stay prepared for lessons. The storage bins would be used to help organize center materials as well as extra book bins for our classrooms. The TeachersPayTeachers gift cards would be very beneficial to purchase more games to keep students engaged in their math lessons.
