STEM has become such an important part of a child's education. Without materials to build with, students can miss out on building important problem solving skills. STEM kits help students explore science, new technology, engineering systems, as well as math concepts through new activities that feel more like playtime than textbooks and lectures. Students love having these hands-on experiences as much as possible. I plan to use these STEM kits daily during Center Time in my classroom. Having multiple options for students to work with will help keep students engaged and thinking as they work and build with the STEM kits. Giving students options helps elicit engagement by helping them learn by what their interests are. STEM also helps students learn about the world around them and how things operate. Building these foundational skills now will help my students be successful later in life!
