My Project

My students are working on building their mathematical skills and fluency. They are building a deep understanding of these skills through daily lessons, centers, and practice. I want to give my students more materials to practice these skills and manipulatives that will allow them to better visualize each concept. Visual aids can help students grasp these complex ideas and enhance their comprehension of the material.

The products that I have selected will help my students continue to build their mathematical skills and fluency through the use of visuals and practice.

The elapsed time white boards, fraction circles, measurement sets, 3-dimensional shapes, and gram weights will help my students be able to visualize and use manipulatives to build a better understanding. The bingo games will allow students a fun, interactive way to practice these skills and the gift card will allow my students to have more practice and center materials. All manipulatives are available to students at all times and easily accessible. Students will be able to use them during lessons, centers, and on independent tasks. Each material chosen will help my students be able to visualize measurement, understand fractions, build their multiplication and division fluency, and be able to determine elapsed time. These materials will also allow for more practice of each concept and be used during math intervention. My students are very interested in math and I want to continue to support this with the addition of more materials and manipulatives in our classroom.
