My Project

Calculators play a key role in understanding many 7th-grade math learning targets. When we do not have uniform tools to complete assignments as successfully as our peers, it is much harder to succeed in math.

Having calculators provided for every student in math class is a safe way for students who aren't able to come to school with that vital tool to be able to use the classroom calculator since all peers are using the same quality calculator that will be able to help towards understanding the 7th-grade math learning targets.

We need this specific calculator because we need to utilize the Pi button, parenthesis, squaring button, and other key features to which the cheaper calculators don't provide students access. This classroom set would be precious to all five math periods of students that I teach as the group would be intentionally assigned a number and checked out every math period. It would be such a valuable donation to a well-deserved bunch of kids who could use it!
