My students live in a poverty-stricken, urban neighborhood. Many come from broken and unstable homes. They attend a Title I school and are eligible for free lunch.
Our school's population is made up of African-American, Hispanic, and Kurdish students.
Many of them are learning English as a second language. It is important for them to be able to express themselves through their art. My students love art! They thrive in an artistic environment. They need opportunities to show how creative they can be.
My students need Crayola Washable Markers for the start of the next school year. They use Markers on a daily basis to create projects. Our younger children are just learning how to use them and often get their hands dirty. The washable markers are very easy to clean and the children can do it by themselves.
This project will help improve our classroom by allowing students to create a variety of colorful art projects.
My art budget has been drastically cut. Without the help of generous donors, I would not be able to afford even the most basic supplies for my students.
