This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are in a Spanish Dual Immersion classroom. I have two groups of students that spend half the day in Spanish and half the day in English as they rotate through my classroom daily. I teach the Spanish part of the program, emphasizing reading, writing, science and multiplication fluency. My students are engaged in cooperative learning teams that incorporate a hands-on environment. This program has a rigorous and enriching curriculum.

We really are a team of learners, leaders, and listeners!

My Project

Games are an important tool for learning in my classroom. These multiplication math games would give my students the opportunities to practice and master their facts.

These engaging math games will encourage my students to feel confident that they can have fun and continue to learn.

It also gives opportunities for my students to sharpen their multiplication fluency.

Playing games encourages strategic math thinking as students find different strategies for solving problems and deepening their understanding. Math games will give my student the practice they need to help develop multiplication fluency.

It will give me the opportunity to observe and assess my students, and open up additional time to work with individuals who continue to struggle.
