I am a third grade teacher in a low income school in Charlotte, NC. My students come from struggling families and need all the support they can get in order for them to be successful. I am asking for the Mastering Math Games Library that will allow my students to work in small groups on specific math skills. These specific hands-on games help students practice with fractions, place value, money, and telling time. While some students are working in small groups with these games, I can work with other students who are having difficulties in certain areas that we have already covered. I believe that students learn best in small group settings so that they have the one-on-one attention they need in order to grasp more difficult math objectives. These games can be used throughout the entire school year and for years to come. I feel these games will benefit all students in my classroom with varied ability levels throughout the years to come.
