Mastering Math Skills

My Project

Math fact fluency is a critical skill for students of all ages. As students grow older, and math problems become more demanding, having to slowly write out basic facts holds students back. My fifth graders work extensively with decimal and fraction operations, and this requires a solid understanding of fact fluency.

Multiplication flash cards, fact charts, timed tests, and spiral review activities will help my students master their fact fluency.

I plan to use a spiral review activity each day at the start of math class to keep their skills fresh, as well as daily partner practice with flash cards. Several times a week we will do timed tests to measure progress and give feedback to students on their skills. Thank you for considering my project!
