Help me give my students some learning games that will let them practice using the skills they are learning in Math. It is so important for them to use the skills if they are going to master them!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My class is a special group of children. They are girls and boys who have many struggles or obstacles to get through each and every day to come to school and be successful. They live in the city that is consistently named "the most dangerous city," but my students fight to overcome that label every day by coming to school and succeeding.
These students are smart, funny and eager to learn.
They work hard to do their best in everything we do in class.
So even though they might have struggles children should not have to deal with, my children succeed and are great learners, students, and cuties.
My Project
My students have just finished learning how to add and subtract double digits and are now learning regrouping . Some of the centers will have students adding and subtracting, using ten frames, grouping and regrouping. It will also help with learning to follow directions that they will have to read as they play with these centers.
These math centers will help my students use math skills over and over again so they can master these skills as we move into other math areas .
It is important for students to have fun through learning so they will want to do the centers.
I know this centers will be fun and get students interested in using the skills they have learned without the usual boring math centers that we have.
