This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Mastering both multiplication and division skills help to build strong foundations in mathematics, enables students to perform calculations, solve problems and understand more complex mathematical concepts. Both skills prepare students in everyday life from shopping and budgeting, to cooking and baking, as well as time management. It also prepares students for academic success for foundations in higher levels of math such as Algebra, Geometry and Calculus. That is why mastering both skills are so very important.
I want to ensure all of my students have the necessary tools to help them master both skills.
The multiplication and division boards offer a fun wheel with not just a few multiplication problems but 144 of them from 1 x 1 up to 12 x 12. They feature a dry erase surface with permanent wheels etched and locked onto the surface. The boards are very durable, yes kid-friendly.
Our 3rd grade students are curious, eager to learn and enthusiastic to try new ways to master math concepts. The use of the boards will provide a fun way for our students to learn.
