Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is located in Deep South Texas and most of my students come from a low socioeconomic status. Some of my students have never been in school or a daycare setting. It’s the beginning of their educational lives and sometimes requires a period of adjusting.

My Project

Right now COVID is on the rise in our area. All of my students are wearing masks in the classroom, but sometimes their masks get wet or dirty.

These masks would help to replace the ones that students get dirty.

Our school has limited resources and is unable to provide extra masks for the classroom. Internet number one priority is the health and safety of my students. If we do not have masks to replace then students are left vulnerable. Students would greatly benefit from having these masks available for them.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
