Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students come from many different backgrounds. We have a large Latino population as well. Many students have working parents who were impacted by the pandemic. This school is located in the inner city.

We have some students who are struggling readers.

We want to provide as many materials as possible to promote engagement and improve their reading levels.

My Project

These materials will be used by students at home, at school, or wherever they go. I have heard different reports about which masks are better to protect students. I realize that we are purchasing what is readily available to use. Sometimes students, parents, and teachers may not be able to afford these N95 masks.

Sometimes, these masks are not at the stores where we are shopping.

I want to make sure that students have access to at least one of these masks and hopefully we can purchase more later on.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
