This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are eager learners who unfortunately do not have access to many resources, more than 50% of the students in my class are English Language Learners with several being in the country less than one year. They are enthusiastic learners who have great dreams and aspirations for the future. Even within their limited resources, they strive to do their best. My students want to have access to the latest in technology in order to prepare themselves for future jobs. They must be exposed to new technologies and innovations in math and science fields in order to compete for the jobs of tomorrow and create new inventions.
My Project
The supplies that I am requesting will ensure that my students feel safe for in-person instruction and be ready for learning. Students have been learning from home for the past year and I need to make sure they have the essentials in order to feel safe and secure at school, while getting used to being back in the classroom. The materials will be available for them at any time during the day.
Personal protective equipment stations will be available so students can help themselves to masks and other sanitizing materials and be able to have a personal hand sanitizer on their desk.
