My Project

Research has shown that getting to write on a vertical surface when working on math tasks with partners or small groups increases engagement and problem solving. Compared to working on paper, students spend approximately double the time on task. Young children also just love getting to write on white boards!

Using large, upright tabletop whiteboards will support effective math task work while also fostering a growth mindset.

When working on a white board, it is easy for everyone to work together and to problem solve collectively. It also supports trying out various problem solving approaches and it is easy to erase and adjust as needed.

This set of 5 large tabletop easels will support the collaborative math task work in our kindergarten and first grade classrooms.
