Help me give my students political/physical maps to enhance our geographical knowledge about our country and the world we live in!
This project expired on November 27, 2019.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
I have a very diverse group of learners. I have some students that require more challenging content, other students who are academically behind a bit, learners who are in between, then I also have several students who are English Language Learners. Having said that, all of my students are eager to learn, regardless of his/her background.
As I mentioned, this group is so diverse and every single student thinks and processes information differently.
Therefore, it is very important to provide a variety of learning activities to meet the needs of each learner. Whether challenging students to learn about specific places, or introducing students to basic geographical information, or just being able to recognize familiar places, these maps will allow for continual learning at all levels.
I am setting up a third grade classroom in our brand new school and we are lacking several supplies, that we have had in the past, due to our limited budget.
One of the items I am lacking is a class set of laminated (easy write-on wipe-off), US/World maps.
I have used these maps for many years as a way to engage students in learning about continents, countries, states, and geographical landforms that make up our world.
Having my own class set of maps will allow for all current, and future students, to have access to what we are learning about. Additionally, these high quality maps will be able to be used for many years to come rather than reprinting a class set each year to use.
