This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The requested materials are the actual parts we will use to build the rover model in addition to parts that we will design and 3D print. Our mission, through this initiative, is to channel this curiosity into a tangible, inspiring learning experience by designing, building, programming and showcasing a remote control Mars Perseverance Rover model into our educational toolkit.

The Mars Perseverance Rover model project isn't just a toy; it's a bridge to the cutting-edge of space exploration and a tool for igniting imaginations within STEM Education and outreach.

Through hands-on interaction with this model, students will engage directly with the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) concepts that have made Mars exploration possible. They'll learn about robotics, electronics, programming, 3D design, and 3D printing.

Our goals are twofold: to deepen students' understanding of and interest in STEM fields and to inspire elementary and middle school students to participate in STEM courses.

What makes our students truly special is their resilience and adaptability. Coming from a variety of backgrounds, many face challenges that extend beyond the classroom. Yet, their eagerness to learn and grow knows no bounds. This project represents more than just an educational enhancement; it's a testament to their potential and a vote of confidence in their dreams.
