Mariners Make Way for Kitty Krew!

My Project

For the past 10 years, my students have been "Our Mariners!" You see, my past is set all around water. I grew up on the rivers of Louisiana. My grandfather was in the US Navy, and my dad was in the US Navy. When I was finishing up my first year of college, I decided to go into the Navy. When I decided to leave the Navy and begin my career in teaching, it only made sense to have a nautical theme.

Now that I am a veteran teacher and a kitten foster for a local rescue, my class needs a change!

My students have helped me come to the realization that I MUST have a cat theme and my students here forth will be "Our Kitty Krew!"

Along with purchasing the actual Cat resources such as calendar, birthdays poster, welcome banner, etc, each item in this project coordinates perfectly. The rug will be used to enhance the homey feel of my classroom library. The watercolor magnet boarder, paper bulletin board boarder, and alphabet pack will help make my classroom feel more cohesive. Then there's the fabric that I will use to make curtains for the windows and the magnetic spice racks that will be used as book holders. Changing my theme and adding all these matching items will help me build lasting relationships with my students that will have a positive impact on their learning!
