At our high school, we are fortunate to have an incredibly diverse student body. Our band students are incredibly driven young people who are working to become leaders and valuable members of our community through music.
We are working together to create a culture that values music education, and all that music can teach us.
We take our natural skills and talents and put them to work in our band program. We learn from each other and we teach others to love music.
My Project
We are growing our marching band program in a serious way!
Last year, we started the season with just 9 members in our marching band.
We wrapped up the season with 65 members in the marching band! Our program is continuing to grow and is consequently in need of new equipment.
In a small band, it is easy to convey information quickly and efficiently without amplification. As our band grows, however, we require a way to share instruction and information with our membership. This wireless microphone system will allow us to communicate clearly and efficiently with our new, improved, larger membership in marching band. We will also be able to use it as a part of our larger sound system for marching band, jazz band, and symphonic band performances.
