My resource classroom is made up of six students; each student works at his/her own pace and level of ability. Focusing on language arts and math specifically, my classroom is designed to give students all the support and tools they need to feel confident and successful in their learning so that they can utilize these skills in a general education setting. This is my first year running my own classroom and my goal is to gather materials to facilitate this as smoothly as possible.

Students in this class will benefit greatly by having access to manipulatives, fidget tools, and sensory aids. Every student has a unique learning style and deserves their own path to success.

My Project
The goal of my classroom is to create a space that is safe and welcoming to all types of learners with all types of abilities. This could mean Unifix cubes for a more hands on activity, a wobble cushion to help regain focus, or a sensory break with kinetic sand to assist a student that could feel overwhelmed.
By equipping my classroom with manipulatives, fidget tools, and sensory aids, students will have access to learning approaches that build their confidence.
Having these tools will give them the support they need in areas that could have hindered them in the past. It will give them the support they need to excel in the future.
