My Students

My students are very curious, ambitious students who are always seeking knowledge. They love to be outdoors and to discover what's around them through lots of exploration. As typical middle schoolers, they love to push the boundaries and learn through trial and error. While enjoying life as much as possible, they also have their struggles both in the classroom and out. Life is a constant adventure that seeks to teach them how to navigate the world around them. My students have a love of learning and want to be a part of that process as much as possible. Laughter is an important part of their day as they spend many hours interacting with their peers both in play and learning.

Our school is located in one of the most beautiful areas of the United States and my kiddos love to explore the area around the school both during school and on their weekends.

During recess, they not only spend the time playing, but many of them walk around the school grounds collecting rocks, flowers, and various other natural items they find. Learning is an ongoing process that my students love to be part of.

My Project

My students will use their imaginations to make many different creations using cardboard and the materials I am requesting. They will create STEAM projects that are authentic and applicable to real-life scenarios such as, building animal habitats, the inside of a tree or plant, and demonstrating how an ecosystem works.

These projects will allow students to guide their learning using the design process to create amazing things while having fun in the process.

These projects will also allow students to learn to work with others, as they will be in groups of 4 or 5 for most projects. They will also enable students to learn from their own mistakes and gain the understanding that it's o.k. to be wrong.

My goal as a teacher is to make the kids excited about coming to school and to teach them to apply what they've learned to everyday scenarios.
