My students will use their imaginations to make many different creations using cardboard and the materials I am requesting. They will create STEAM projects that are authentic and applicable to real-life scenarios such as, building animal habitats, the inside of a tree or plant, and demonstrating how an ecosystem works. These projects will allow students to guide their learning using the design process to create amazing things while having fun in the process. These projects will also allow students to learn to work with others, as they will be in groups of 4 or 5 for most projects. They will also enable students to learn from their own mistakes and gain the understanding that it's o.k. to be wrong. My goal as a teacher is to make the kids excited about coming to school and to teach them to apply what they've learned to everyday scenarios.
