Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

We are looking to maximize the learning time in our classrooms each day! Our school is located in a low income area. Many of our students come from rough home lives, and sometimes, the transition from home to school each day can be rough. We want to structure our day in a way that allows for students to come into class, eat their breakfast, and have an easy transition into learning for the day.

A smooth morning, sets us up for a smooth day!

These workbooks that I am requesting will provide teachers with an easy, structured activity to give their students in the mornings. Each grade level, Kindergarten through 2nd grade will receive workbooks based on the skills that they need the most practice with. Our hope is that students will have a smooth transition into school each day, as well as receive extra reading support in order to maximize their learning time!
